Judges for these industry competitions operate under rigorous parameters and are placed in an unbiased environment, providing feedback based on integrity, experience and education. Among many elements that contribute to the panel’s final decision, all flight samples are blind tasted and, in some instances, given a chemical analysis. The San Francisco World Spirits Competition was founded in 2000 and remains the leading competition of its kind. It is one of the most well-respected and prestigious due to its precise judging process and esteemed panel of experts who have curated a trusted palate for fine spirits over the years.
